Breakfast at the hotel. Depart from Santa Cruz for a full-day tour of Flores, beginning with a stop at the Ribeira da Cruz belvedere and visits to the picturesque lakes of Lomba, Funda, and Rasa. Travel from Fajãzinha to Ponta da Fajã Grande, an area known for its many beautiful waterfalls. Optionally, enjoy a walk to Poço da Alagoinha (800 m each way, approximately 45 minutes round trip), where a tranquil lake sits beneath towering cascades—walking boots recommended. After breakfast, your day begins with a scenic drive to the Natural Reserve of the Caldeira of Faial, a stunning volcanic crater surrounded by vibrant blue hydrangeas. From there, continue towards the Ribeira das Cabras viewpoint, traveling along the picturesque Serra da Feteira. Stop for lunch before descending to the Fajã in Praia do Norte, a coastal area with dramatic cliffs and ocean views. Next, visit the Capelinhos Volcano Interpretation Centre, which tells the story of the volcanic eruption that occurred from 1957–1958. On the return journey to Horta, make a quick stop at Varadouro to admire the Morro do Castelo Branco.
