Upon arrival in Bordeaux, collect your luggage and make your way to your hotel with a private transfer. Check-in and enjoy some free time to discover the lively city of Bordeaux! Bordeaux is classified as the "City of Art and History" and has been inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List as "an outstanding urban and architectural ensemble". (B)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before departing on a full day small-group excursion where you will be picked up at the centrally located tourism office in Bordeaux. Depart for the Medoc wine region where some of the most famous wineries of Bordeaux are located. Travel along the Château Route through famous appellations such as Margaux, Saint Julien, Pauillac or Saint Estephe. This full-day tour has been designed as an introduction to the wines & blends of the left bank in which Cabernet Sauvignon is king. Your day consists of in-depth visits and wine tastings at 3 carefully selected Classified Châteaux (wineries) that produce fabulous red wines. There will also be a brief stop in the town of Pauillac where you can enjoy lunch on your own. This tour lasts approximately 8 hours and is conducted in a group of no more than 8 persons. Following breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you up at the tourism office in Bordeaux where you will depart and experience a full day guided tour to the Saint-Emilion wine region. This wine tour is a perfect introduction to both the wines of the right bank and to the charming village of Saint Emilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. Your tour will include visits & commented tastings in 3 carefully selected Classified Growth Chateaux (wineries) known for the quality of the wine they craft, as well as a short walking tour of Saint Emilion village with your guide. This tour has a duration of around 8 hours and is conducted in a group of no more than 8 participants. Participants must be 18 years or older. (B)
