Day 1: Aix-en-Provence

Upon arrival in Aix-en-Provence, collect your luggage and make your way to your hotel with a private transfer. Check-in and explore Aix-en-Provence with a private walking guided tour and later in the evening enjoy a 3-course dinner (no drinks included) in a restaurant located near the hotel. (B.D.)

Day 2: Provence in One Day

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before departing on a full day small-group excursion where you will be picked up and set off to explore the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Provence.  The tour starts in the Alpilles mountain range. Located on a rocky spur overlooking the valley, the medieval village of Les Baux de Provence that will lead you to an unforgettable journey into the past.  Visit the Pont du Gard, best preserved remains of the Roman aqueduct which supplied water to the city of Nîmes.  Continue the drive along the docks between the Rhône river and the medieval walls: you will enter Avignon, the majestic city of the Popes.  Here you will see the Saint-Benezet bridge, famous for the children's song “Sur le Pont d'Avignon”, see the Popes' Palace which is the largest gothic-style palace in Europe (entrance tickets not included). Discover the wines of the Rhône river valley in the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape where the castle dominates the vineyard. Wine-tasting included. (B)

Day 3: Depart Aix-en-Provence

Following breakfast at your hotel, check-out and meet your licensed guide in the lobby of your hotel and appreciate a private 2-hour walking guided tour.  The tour will end at 12:00 pm where you have the rest of the afternoon at your own pace.  A private transfer from the hotel to Aix TGV Station will be available.
