Discover the evocative island of Capri and be enchanted by its incomparable beauty, imposing limestone cliffs, mild climate, and charming towns with bougainvillea-lined cobbled alleys. A visit to the fabled Blue Grotto is also included.

Day 1: Rome | Capri

An early morning departure from Rome and your tour heads south driving along the “Sun Route” motorway, where we will cross the regions of Lazio and Campania to arrive at the port of Naples where we'll board a ferry to Capri: a world-famous VIP Island on the Gulf of Naples, celebrated as an exclusive resort since the Roman Emperors times. On arrival in Capri we make our way directly to the Blue Grotto (depending on sea and weather conditions). The Blue Grotto, or the Grotta Azzurra, is a rich and thrilling experience that only comes once in a lifetime. A marine temple during Roman times, its bottom hosted statues of the Roman sea gods Neptune & Triton, and it was used as the personal swimming hole of Emperor Tiberius. Nowadays swimming here is forbidden and only small rowboats guided by local experts are allowed in the tiny grotto. Once inside, the view is incredible: sunlight, passing through an underwater cavity, shines through the seawater creating a brilliant blue-to-emerald reflection that illuminates the water in the shady cavern. From the small seaport of Marina Grande, we will continue on board a minibus reaching Anacapri, the little town located high on the hills. After lunch (not included) you will have some free time at your disposal. Arrival at the hotel, check in and enjoy the evening on your own.

Day 2: Capri | Rome

This morning you will have breakfast at your hotel and some free time before departing back to Rome in the afternoon. Arrival into Rome is estimated to be in the late evening depending on traffic.
