Day 1 Athens

Arriving at Athens airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax or set out for your first taste of Athens. Stroll through the narrow lanes of ancient Plaka, the oldest district of Athens, or enjoy shopping at Ermou, Kolonaki & Voukourestiou streets.

Day 2 Athens - Athens City, Acropolis & Acropolis Museum

Following breakfast enjoy a guided tour of Athens, the Acropolis & Acropolis Museums and discover the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Our expert guides will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896 (short stop). Continue and pass by the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma Square). At the Acropolis, you will visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the monument that “puts the order in the mind” - the Parthenon. Feel the history of this magnificent archaeological site and be amazed by the breathtaking view of the city below. Then proceed to visit another must-see in Athens, the place where finally the statues found their home, and admire the wonders of the classical era: the New Acropolis Museum. Displaying over 4000 artefacts from the Acropolis and excavations visible under glass floors & walkways, the Sunday Times voted it the 3rd best museum in the world. Please note that due to certain restrictions on the visiting hours of the New Acropolis Museum, the order of the program can change. Your tour will end around 1:30 pm and the remainder of your day is free to spend as you choose. (B)

Day 3 Athens | Mykonos

Enjoy an early breakfast before your private transfer arrives to take you to the port of Piraeus, where you’ll board a high-speed hydrofoil ferry to Mykonos (3 hours 30 min approx). Upon arrival on Mykonos Island, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. With its whitewashed houses, narrow winding lanes, windmills & wonderful sandy beaches, plus quirky shops, galleries and an incredible nightlife, Mykonos has long been a favourite with international 'jet setters', and the remainder of the day is free to start exploring this iconic island on your own. (B)

Day 4 Mykonos - Delos Island Tour

This morning depart by boat for a guided tour of the Sacred Island of Delos. Located only a 45-minute boat ride from Mykonos, Delos was the centre of the Cyclades of the ancient world, considered the island of light, the birthplace of Apollon and Artemis, and home to the first multicultural civilization & trade. There is a lot to see - having been inhabited between 2500 and 69 B.C, Delos boasts many archaeological treasures including the ancient marketplace Agora, the famous terrace of the Naxos lions, the sacred lake, and see the ancient living quarters & theatre that give you a lively vision of daily life back then, especially the houses of Dionysos, Kleopatra, the Trident, the Masks & the Dolphins with their fantastic mosaics. Furthermore, there is the Temple of Isis, the Egyptian goddess, the Roman water system & cisterns and the wonderful museum with plenty of breathtaking mosaics, statues and many more objects found during the excavations. This guided tour departs at 10:00 am from the old pier in Mykonos Town and you should expect to return by 1:30 pm. Or, if you wish to remain a bit longer for some leisure time or to climb Mount Kynthos from where you can enjoy fabulous views over all the surrounding Cycladic islands, you can also take the last boat back from Delos at 3:00 pm. Return to Mykonos by mid-afternoon and rest of the day at leisure to relax at one of Mykonos’s famed beaches or continue exploring on your own. (B)

Day 5 Mykonos | Santorini

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and the morning at leisure before being transferred to Mykonos port for your high-speed hydrofoil ferry ride to the Island of Santorini (2 hours 40 min approx). After being transferred to your hotel, the remainder of the afternoon is free to spend as you wish, perhaps admiring the spectacular caldera created by the eruption of the islands’ volcano. (B)

Day 6 Santorini - Santorini with Wine Tasting & Oia sunset

On today's full-day tour of Santorini, you'll learn about the history of the island, admire the architecture of its traditional villages, enjoy leisure time at its volcanic beaches and experience the fabulous Oia sunset! The journey starts with exploring Emporio Village, one of the oldest and most authentic traditional villages of Santorini, built like a small labyrinth, and visit its medieval fortress (15th century). We then continue to the Akrotiri Archaeological site (entrance fees not included), dating from the Bronze Age and one of Greece’s most important prehistoric settlements. Akrotiri was destroyed during a catastrophic 17th century BC volcanic eruption and buried under thick layers of ash which preserved the city in near perfect conditions, therefore often being referred to as the ‘prehistoric Pompeii’. After this visit, we proceed to Perissa Beach, one of the longest black sandy beaches in the Cyclades and the most popular beach of Santorini, where you'll have free time for swimming and lunch on your own. In the afternoon we proceed to a Santorini winery where you'll get to taste three distinctive Santorini wines and learn about one of the oldest vineyards in Europe while admiring the spectacular view of the volcano. A short stop is then planned at the highest peak of Santorini (567 meters) to admire the striking panoramic view of the entire island. Finally, you'll be transferred to the popular village of Oia and the most photographed place in Greece, in time to experience its legendary sunset! (B)

Day 7 Santorini

Unfortunately, your Athens & Greek Islands Adventure ends today. Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel before being transferred to Santorini Airport to begin your return journey. Or as about extending your stay in Santorini or perhaps visiting another of Greece's sunny islands. (B)
