Meet your guide at the Praça Gomes Teixeira also known as the Lions Square and go for a walk through the historic city centre. You will find the main references of the city in a simplified route for those who visit with little time but want to enjoy the essentials. Get to know the city's history and how it developed with the arrival of the Romans, know about the Moorish and Castilian invasions, and more recently in the nineteenth century by Napoleon's troops. See Livraria Lello & Irmão, the Clerics church, and the beautiful São Bento Train Station, built on the site of a former Benedictine convent already inside the walled city. This is also one of the landmarks of the city and one of the most well-known stations in the world. Back on the street, go up to the Cathedral and the convent of Santa Clara. Day 3: Douro Valley Wine Tour & Cruise

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before departing on a full-day tour small group tour that will guide you through the beautiful landscapes of the Douro Valley and its world-famous Port wine. Being the first demarcated wine region in the world and having its landscape classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site defines this charming and unique region in the North of Portugal where the climate, sun exposure & soil type produce unique grapes that are at the heart of the Port wine. During this tour, you will visit the most emblematic sites, admire stunning panoramic views, try the local gastronomy, and taste wines at some of the most prestigious vineyards in the region. Upon arrival to the valley, it is time for a coffee break and to get a first glimpse of the majestic landscape, before boarding a traditional boat for a wonderful one-hour cruise on the Douro River. We then head to the first winery, a 17th-century property where you'll visit the installations, taste some of their delicious Ports, and enjoy a 4-course lunch paired with wine from the estate. In the afternoon, we'll visit another wonderful family-sized wine producer, passionate about his art, where you'll have a chance to taste reds, whites & old Ports before returning to Porto.
