Andalucía is a land crafted by the colourful and majestic Moorish history of Spain. Visit the great cities of Cordoba, Seville & Granada, each with their own precious historical treasures, as you journey through the stunning mountain scenery of this province during this 5-day Rail Tour.

Day 1: Madrid | Cordoba

Make your way to Madrid's centrally located Atocha railway station to board a high-speed train to Cordoba (1hour 50min approx). Cordoba has been important since the Roman ages but reached its peak during the Muslim period, especially the IX and Xth centuries when it became the capital of the Caliphate and the most populated city in the world. After arriving, transfer independently to the selected hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is free to start exploring Cordoba on your own. (B)

Day 2: Cordoba | Seville

In the morning you'll enjoy some free time before making your way to the starting point for your 12:15 guided walking tour of Cordoba featuring the old Jewish Quarter with its narrow streets, white-washed houses and one of the few perfectly preserved Synagogues in Spain, the Fortress of Catholic Kings, the stunning Mosque-Cathedral and the Roman Bridge. Inside visits to the Synagogue and Mosque-Cathedral are included. Later in the day head to Cordoba train station and board your high-spead train for the short 45-minute ride to Seville. Make your way to the hotel and check-in and remainder of the day at leisure. Seville is the artistic, cultural & financial capital of southern Spain, a historical masterpiece full of Islamic monuments, gardens, and Flamenco festivals, and this afternoon we suggest a delightful walk in the Maria Luisa Gardens with the monumental Plaza de España, and a visit to the Royal Alcazares, a medieval Arab palace. (B)

Day 3: Seville

In the morning, we suggest you visit the wonders of the Royal Alcazar, the Cathedral and La Giralda, some of the must-see sights of Seville. After lunchtime, you will be collected from your hotel for an Artistic Sevilla tour which starts with a boat trip on the Guadalquivir River followed by a visit to the Maestanza Bullring and a sightseeing tour of the world famous Triana district. Finally, you'll visit the Basilica de La Macarena before returning to your hotel. (B)

Day 4: Seville | Granada

After breakfast, transfer independently to Santa Justa Seville railway station for a three-hour train ride to Granada. Upon arrival, make your way to the selected hotel and remainder of the day is at leisure. Located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, at the convergence of three rivers - Beiro, Darro & Genie - you’ll discover plenty of things to do in this enriching, cultural city. Take a stroll through the bustling, narrow streets of the Albayzin - the Moorish area & oldest part of Granada and perhaps visit the Cathedral and Royal Chapel or the Bañuelos (Arab baths). (B)

Day 5: Granada | Madrid

Breakfast at the hotel. The Alhambra is one of the most celebrated landmarks of the Islamic historical legacy and this morning you'll enjoy a guided visit of the Alhambra, the best example of sophisticated royal life during the Nazari Islamic Kingdom of the XIVth century, as well as of the famous & beautiful Generalife Gardens with its many fountains. In the afternoon, make your way to the railway station and board a train for the return journey to Madrid (4hours 30min approximately), where your tour ends. (B)
