During this comprehensive 8-day fully escorted tour which includes all meals, you'll discover Sicily's most important historical and archaeological sites, visit charming baroque towns & the majestic Mt Etna, and sample typical Sicilian products along the way.

Day 1: Palermo

Friday - Upon arrival at Palermo airport, make your way to your centrally located Palermo hotel (an optional private transfer from the airport is available). The remainder of the day is free to relax or explore on your own. This evening you will enjoy a welcome cocktail & dinner at your hotel in Palermo. (D)

Day 2: Palermo | Cefalù | Taormina | Catania Area

Saturday - After a buffet breakfast, depart to Cefalù, a charming coastal town and former fishing village which is also home to a breathtaking Norman Cathedral, famous for its Mosaic of Christ Pantocrator – a stunning Byzantine mosaic that’s considered as one of the most important pieces of religious artwork in Sicily. Take a stroll to the city centre and down the main street to reach the Cathedral and the medieval wash-house built in the rock. The tour then continues inland to Taormina where you'll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. You'll spend the afternoon in Taormina, the charming city called "the pearl of the Ionian Sea" with time at leisure for shopping or walking through its tiny streets. Possibility to visit the Greek-Roman Theatre on your own, with its spectacular view of Giardini Naxos and Etna volcano. Continue to Catania. Dinner tonight will be held at your Catania area hotel located in Viagrande, near Etna Park. (B.L.B)

Day 3: Catania | Siracusa | Catania area

Sunday - After a buffet breakfast, departure to Syracuse to visit the archaeological area “Neapolis” which includes the famous Greek Theatre, Latomie of the Paradise and the “Orecchio di Dyionisio ”. Continue to the island of Ortigia, the small baroque old city centre of Siracusa for a visit to the Cathedral, which is built upon the site of the Temple of Minerva, the legendary Arethusa Fountain and the Temple of Apollo, Lunch will be held in a restaurant in Ortigia. In the afternoon return to Catania for a nice walking tour. During the tour in Catania, stroll through the city centre with your professional guide who will charm you with the history of the city. Tonight you'll enjoy dinner at your hotel in Catania. (B.L.D)

Day 4: Catania | Modica | Ragusa

Monday - Following breakfast today we depart to Modica, a town whose architecture has been recognised as providing outstanding testimony to the exuberant genius and final flowering of Baroque art in Europe. Modica is a town with an ancient history, nicknamed "the city of 100 churches" and some of its most representative monuments, such as the Cathedral of San Pietro and the Church of San Giorgio, have been proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The tour will then continue with a visit inside the Artisan chocolate workshop; there you will have the chance to discover the techniques leading to the production of an amazing quality of "the Modican's chocolate". Lunch in a local restaurant, followed by free time to explore the town and shopping. Accommodation in your hotel in Ragusa to relax and have dinner.  (B.L.D)

Day 5: Ragusa | Piazza Armerina | Agrigento

Tuesday - After a buffet breakfast, your tour will depart to Piazza Armerina to visit the worldwide known Villa Romana del Casale, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, thanks to its well-preserved mosaics depicting mythological themes and hunting scenes. Lunch in a local restaurant with a special menu is chosen to give the opportunity to taste the local specialities. Departure to Agrigento, a hillside town famous for its magnificent Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; guided tour of the Valley, including the Temple of Concordia, which is in almost perfectly preserved condition, the temples of Juno and Heracles. Dinner tonight will be at your hotel in Agrigento (B.L.D)

Day 6: Agrigento | Monreale | Palermo

Wednesday - After a buffet breakfast departure to Palermo, the capital of Sicily, where on arrival there will be a visit to the town of Monreale, which is situated on a hill a few kilometres from Palermo in a panoramic position. Visit the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful monuments in the world famed for its Moorish architecture and housing very fine mosaics representing a complete cycle of the Old and New Testaments in Arab-Norman style. Lunch will be held in a local restaurant. After lunch continuation for a panoramic tour of Palermo, passing by the Normand Palace, Teatro Massimo and the guided visit of the Cathedral. Then, check into your hotel in Palermo followed by dinner. (B.L.D)

Day 7: Palermo

Thursday - This morning, after a buffet breakfast the morning will be dedicated to a visit of the historical centre of the town, which is one of the largest in Europe; with Martorana Church, Piazza Bellini, Piazza Pretoria, “I Quattro Canti di Città - the four corners”, making a pleasant walking along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the ancient “Cassaro”, Piazza Bologni, the Cathedral (internal visit) and the outside of Norman Palace. You will have the chance to taste Palermo’s street food at a typical local market. Afternoon at leisure or for those who are interested, opportunity to do a panoramic optional visit in the surroundings of Palermo: the “Palazzina Cinese” closed to the green park of “la Favorita” and Mondello, ancient fishers village with a wonderful sand beach where You can taste a delicious ice cream (supplement to pay on the spot; the visit will take place with a minimum of participants). Return to the hotel for dinner (B.L.D)  

Day 8: Palermo departure

Friday - Your Jolly Sicily Tour ends after breakfast today. An optional private transfer to the airport is available on request. (B)
