In the Azores, we have the opportunity to observe about 27 species of cetaceans throughout the year. Sailing in the path of large cetaceans and cheerful dolphins, this half-day trip to the sea offers you the chance to meet and admire the marine mammals of the Azores in their natural habitat. Using the technique of lookouts strategically placed on the south coast of the island, we set out to meet these unique beings on a journey that is a mix of fun, adventure, discovery, and scientific knowledge. In just a few hours, we will provide you with an unforgettable experience. This whale & dolphin-watching activity is conducted by a professional team of lookouts, skippers, and biologists on rigid inflatable boats or fiberglass boats. Before leaving for the sea, a briefing on cetaceans, sighting methods, safety rules, and the code of ethics for the observation of cetaceans in the Azores will be carried out. You'll also be provided the necessary equipment to ensure your safety and comfort (life vest and rain jackets). Duration approximately 2.5-3 hours.
