Journey back in time today as you discover the unique ‘Sassi’ in Matera. After meeting your guide you’ll be transferred to the historic town of Matera a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1993. Our first stop will be at the scenic outlook to enjoy the amazing view over the impressive “sassi” area. Then follow your guide on a walking tour along the winding paths, alleys and stairs to discover the “sasso caveoso” and/or “sasso barisano” with its remarkable cave houses, cellars and rupestrian churches. Your tickets to Casa Grotta Museum and 1 Cave Church plus a tasting at a local bakery are also included. Return to Alberobello at the end of the visit. Tour duration is approximately 5 hours
