Set off on a small-group tour with no more than 8 participants to explore the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Provence! The tour begins by journeying toward the Alpilles mountain range where, located on a rocky spur overlooking the valley, the medieval village of Les Baux de Provence will lead you on an unforgettable journey into the past. Continue to the Pont du Gard, the best-preserved remains of the Roman aqueduct which supplied water to the city of Nîmes, and which you will visit. In Avignon, the majestic city of the Popes, take a look at Saint-Benezet bridge, famous for the children's song “Sur le Pont d'Avignon”, and see the Popes' Palace which is the biggest gothic-style palace in Europe (entrance tickets not included). There will be free time in Avignon for lunch on your own. Then proceed to discover the wines of the Rhône river valley in the village of Châteauneuf du Pape where you'll visit a local winery with wine tasting included. Traffic conditions permitting, return to Marseille around 7:30 pm.
