Explore the diversity of the Provençal way of life which inspired Vincent Van Gogh: Roman culture, architecture, magnificent landscapes & beautiful villages! In Arles, drive to the Pont Langlois, also known as the 'Van Gogh bridge' and discover the main places painted by Van Gogh during his stay in Provence...: La Maison jaune, Le Café la nuit, Le jardin de l’hôtel Dieu... In Saint Rémy de Provence, take a look at reproductions of Van Gogh’s paintings on the way to Saint Paul de Mausole, the mental hospital where the famous painter lived for a year, and you'll have the opportunity to visit his recreated bedroom (entrance fee included). Set in a field of olive trees, the surrounding landscape featured became a frequent theme in Van Gogh's paintings. There will be free time to stroll through the towns and, depending on the day, discover the weekly local market held in Saint-Remy on Wednesdays and in Arles on Saturdays. The order of the visit can change due to market days (Wednesdays in St Rémy and Saturdays in Arles). A return to Avignon is planned for around 2:30 pm.
