A little taste of life’s finer pleasures: Champagne, gourmet French cuisine & wines. Join us on unforgettable small-group tours of Paris and through France's stunning Champagne region, visit the world famous Moët & Chandon champagne house and enjoy a gourmet lunch with wine a the traditional Les Noces de Jeanette restaurant. This tour operates unchanged on a Tuesday or Friday but can be customised for departures on other days. 

Day 1: Paris

Welcome to France! Upon arrival at Paris Airport collect your luggage, clear customs and make your way to your centrally located hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax or start exploring the French Capital on your own. An optional airport transfer is available.

Day 2: Paris City & Gourmet Lunch

This morning we invite you on a stunning small-group sightseeing tour of Paris in deluxe air-conditioned minibus including all the major sites with stops for photos*. You will discover the village of Montmartre*. You will go to the centre of Paris: Opéra, Vendôme, Concorde Squares, Rivoli street, the Champs Elysees, the Arch of Triumph before reaching the Eiffel Tower and the Seine river where the most important monuments are located: Grand Palais, Louvre and its glass pyramid, the islands of la Cité and St Louis, Notre Dame Cathedral*. You will cross the left bank and the Latin quarter with the Pantheon, the Luxembourg Gardens, the Invalides and the famous bridges: Pont de l’Alma, Pont Neuf, Alexandre III. All along this tour, our professional guide will tell you about the 2000 year history of Paris. Stops at Montmartre, Eiffel Tower & Notre Dame Cathedral. Follow this wonderful tour with a 3-course gourmet lunch with wine at the traditional Les Noces de Jeanette Restaurant located next to the Opera square. The tour ends at the restaurant and the afternoon is free to continue exploring Paris on your own. (B.L)

Day 3: Reims & Champagne Country

Breakfast at your hotel. Today enjoy an amazing full-day small-group tour combining the art of producing Champagne in the Epernay region and the historical heritage of France in Reims. You will be picked up at your hotel around 7:00 am and will reach the champagne region in less than 2 hours. The tour includes two visits of champagne cellars. Reims is just a few miles far from Epernay. City of art, history & UNESCO World Heritage sites, Reims is an impressive city with its cathedral built in the 13th century where all the French kings have been crowned. You will see the outskirts of the Palace of Tau and, if time allows, also visit the St Remi Basilica dating from the 12th century. You will then cross the unique landscape of “La Montagne de Reims", driving along the vineyards of the “route de champagne” toward Epernay. Epernay is a typical French countryside town, home of all the famous champagne estates. Next, you will visit the famous cellar of Moet & Chandon (or similar) with a champagne tasting followed by a visit to a local champagne producer in the historical village of Ay near Epernay, "La Cité du Champagne", where you will visit the Museum, the cellars, the vineyards and taste the excellent Champagne Collet. Finally, we pay a visit to Hautvillers, a charming village with an ancient abbey where Dom Perignon is buried, before going back to Paris. (B)

Days 4 & 5: Paris

Enjoy a breakfast at your hotel & full day at leisure to explore this wonderful city as you please. Overnight accommodation. (B)

Day 6: Paris

Today sadly marks the end of this fine vacation. Following breakfast at your hotel check out and, at the appropriate time, make your way to the airport for your return flight. Or ask about extending you France vacation with CIT Tours. (B)
